You're invited to participate in an important conversation

I believe it's vital at this time that we explore how to communicate with each other about challenging topics without polarising and fighting each other.

Now is not the time to silence other people, especially if they have different views from you.

It's time to listen to each other, discover how other people are experiencing the world and share our own views without overriding others.

Let's listen to each other even when we have opposing views?

  • Tackling big issues

The conversation will be organised in small breakout groups on Zoom. The topic will be controversial, challenging and significant. There will be some simple rules of engagement.

  • Bringing wisdom into the centre

We will aim to speak rationally (as a minimum) and wisely as much as we can. It will require inner discipline, patience, curiosity and consciousness. It may not be easy, but it will be rewarding.

  • Sharing with generosity

It will be a chance to explore how we can communicate with people we may not know, on topics that are often polarising, with an intention to understand rather than judge, and unite rather than divide.
